About Our Rescue
SOS Cat Rescue & Rehoming is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abused, abandoned, and neglected cats and kittens. Based in Texas, we work throughout the state — and beyond — to provide a second chance to cats in need, from high-risk shelters, the streets, and difficult living situations.
Since our founding, SOS has grown into one of the most trusted and compassionate cat rescues in the region, recognized for our commitment to quality care, ethical adoption practices, and life-saving programs for special-needs cats.
Each year, SOS volunteers help hundreds of cats find loving, permanent homes. Through our Comfort Kitty Program, Rescue-in-Place initiatives, and TNR partnerships, we’ve helped thousands more — ensuring that every cat, no matter their story, receives the care, comfort, and dignity they deserve.
Our volunteers and fosters provide round-the-clock care, socialization, and medical treatment to cats of all ages and backgrounds. Many of our rescues come from heartbreaking circumstances — from injured strays to abandoned purebreds — and leave us healthy, happy, and ready for adoption.
Beyond rescue and adoption, SOS Cat Rescue educates the public about responsible pet guardianship, the importance of spaying and neutering, and compassionate solutions for community cats. Through outreach events, social media, and local partnerships, we promote awareness and empower people to become part of the solution.

To create a world where Siamese, Oriental, Snowshoe, fluffy and exotic breed cats and their mixed-breed feline friends are seen for the meowjical souls they are. We envision a future where every cat, no matter their lineage or past, is given the chance to heal, be loved, and live a safe, joy-filled life in a forever home.
OUR MISSION
SOS Cat Rescue saves, rehabilitates, and rehomes Siamese, Oriental, Snowshoe, fluffy and exotic mix cats along with their domestic feline friends. Through our Comfort Kitty program and TNR efforts, we help scared, forgotten cats become the meowjical companions they were meant to be.
